We can tell you where this diploma goes, because we checked.

Most schools hand you a certificate and wish you luck. GEO publishes, country by country, how its graduates reach university — which authority evaluates the diploma, what evidence it wants, and what the route looks like. Where the route is conditional, we say conditional. Where we cannot publish a route at all, we say that too — before you pay us anything.

Universities abroad

GEO's American Diploma is designed for global portability, with optional AP, SAT, and ACT preparation built in. The specific route depends on the university and country you are targeting.

Status at the time of opening in 2027.

🇺🇸GhanaPublished route

The American Diploma at grade point average 2.50 or above admits to a private university, subject to Ghana Tertiary Education Commission evaluation.

Evaluation is a step taken after graduating, not a gate on enrolling. Its test is the accreditation of the awarding school.

🇿🇦South AfricaPublished route — conditional

The American Diploma requires SAT 1130, or ACT 22, or two Advanced Placement subject passes for a Universities South Africa certificate of foreign exemption.

The American Diploma alone does not admit at public or private institutions. An exemption certificate does not guarantee admission.

🇲🇾MalaysiaConditional — private universities only

The American Diploma at grade point average 3.0 buys a foundation year at private and foreign-branch universities.

Public universities are structurally closed — no external qualification substitutes for the national school-leaving examination. The foundation year is one extra year.

🇿🇲ZambiaConditional until confirmed

The American Diploma's standing at the University of Zambia is being established through Qualifications Authority evaluation.

Qualifications Authority evaluation takes about three months — plan the timing.

🇷🇼RwandaConditional until confirmed

All foreign qualifications route through equivalence, which the University of Rwanda then accepts.

The higher-education authority's modality-neutral wording is published; the school-level authority publishes no equivalent statement. We are seeking written confirmation before we say more.

🇯🇲JamaicaPublished route — conditional

The University of the West Indies, Mona admits the American Diploma at grade point average 3.0 with SAT 1200, under normal matriculation.

SAT 1200 is load-bearing — without it the route does not open. The route is Mona's, not UWI-wide.

SAT, ACT and AP preparation.

American Diploma students can add preparation mini-courses for the SAT and ACT college-admission tests and for AP examinations. GEO's test-preparation programme exists because of that, not as an upsell.
